Getting ready for your holiday shopping? Walmart has your back with its Top Toys List for 2024.

“Consumers are starting to shop for their holiday gifts much earlier. They’re strategizing and preparing. That’s why we want to share the list, to assist people in planning ahead,” expressed Julie Barber, Walmart’s executive vice president of general merchandising.

This extensive list features 66 items, including 25 that are under $25, toys inspired by popular TV shows, craft kits, and an exclusive Barbie World collection.

Barber emphasized that Walmart’s selection offers a “vast variety” of toys suitable for all ages. There are choices available “not only for younger kids and tweens, but also for older kids like ourselves,” she noted, highlighting products like puzzles and various Lego sets.

This year, adults aged 18 and older have boosted toy sales, contributing more than $1.5 billion in the first quarter alone, surpassing sales from the preschool segment for the first time, as reported by Circana, which studies consumer trends.

Introducing the Barbie World Collection

According to Mattel, the new Barbie World collection, now available at Walmart, allows shoppers to customize their dolls’ settings more easily. Unlike previous playsets, which came with a specific Barbie doll, this new line emphasizes furniture and accessories.

“Whether it’s a garden set or a grill set, this is your chance to mix and match for a truly customizable experience,” Steve Totzke, Chief Commercial Officer and President at Mattel, shared with YSL News.

The Barbie World collection launch features 10 themed sets based on activities that resonate with children. These include a garden set, grill set, dishwasher set, bathtime set, game room set, hammock set, chair set, water sport set, farm set, and horse set, priced between $9.99 and $24.99.
