Fantasy Football Defense/Special Teams Rankings for Week 2: Watch Out for the Cowboys
In fantasy football, defensive performance hinges on sacks, turnovers, and touchdowns. In Week 1, three teams stood out in these areas, being the only ones to earn over 15 fantasy points.
The Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears were the only teams to achieve defensive touchdowns, and both the Bears and Dallas Cowboys found the end zone on special teams. The Cowboys, who recorded a league-high six sacks in their first game, top this week’s rankings as they face the New Orleans Saints.
This week’s fantasy football rankings consider point-per-reception (PPR) scoring common in many seasonal and daily fantasy leagues, where players earn one point for every 10 rushing and receiving yards, and one point for every 20 passing yards. Touchdowns yield six points, passing touchdowns bring in four points, and each reception adds one point.
