Chipotle reintroduces ‘most requested menu item’ for a limited time: Here’s what you should know
The smoked brisket is making a comeback at Chipotle.
The fast-casual chain revealed on Tuesday that it is bringing back its “most requested menu item,” highlighting that fans have been asking for the smoked brisket’s return on social media ever since its launch three years ago.
This option will be offered at select locations across the U.S. and Canada for a limited time, according to an official announcement.
According to the company, the brisket is prepared using real beef, seared on the plancha, and seasoned with spices, including smoked serrano chili and chipotle chili. The brisket is then hand-chopped into tender pieces and finished with a savory sauce blending smoky chili peppers.
“We’re responding to our customers and reviving this beloved menu item after three years,” stated Chris Brandt, Chief Brand Officer, in the news release, expressing confidence that the smoked brisket will “delight our customers.”
Chipotle offers a special deal for smoked brisket orders
From Thursday, September 12 to Sunday, September 29, Chipotle will waive the delivery fee on all smoked brisket orders made through the Chipotle app and website, applicable in the U.S. and Canada.
To qualify for the offer, customers must include at least one entrée featuring smoked brisket, and both deliveries and redemptions are subject to availability. This promotion does not extend to orders through third-party delivery services.
Chipotle teams up with Spirit Halloween for its first costume line
Additionally, in anticipation of Halloween, Chipotle is launching its inaugural Halloween costume collection in partnership with Spirit Halloween.
The collection features wearable items inspired by Chipotle’s signature products, like a napkin, fork, water cup, burrito, and take-out bag. This idea was born from a social media trend where users create quirky costume concepts to share online. Many of these ideas are playfully packaged in Spirit Halloween bags to add a touch of authenticity, as mentioned in a news release from the company.
Chipotle embraced this trend by designing a playful mockup of a fork and napkin costume to engage with patrons.
Now, they are collaboratively reviving the meme trend with this new costume line, which will be available until supplies run out. The latest additions include the water cup, burrito, and to-go cup costumes.
Chipotle had been teasing the “Boorito” collection on social media in the past week to buzz up customer interest in the meme-inspired costumes.
“Our beloved Halloween tradition, Boorito, started with a burrito-themed costume contest, and now we’re elevating it with our first-ever costume collection in collaboration with Spirit Halloween,” stated Chipotle spokesperson Chris Brandt. “In addition to these costumes, we’ll also be offering fans an exciting deal next month.”
Spirit Halloween is “extremely excited” to collaborate with Chipotle to bring these creations to life, expressed Kym Sarkos, Spirit Halloween’s executive vice president.
The costumes will be available for purchase online and at select Spirit Halloween retail locations in cities like Chicago, Denver, New Jersey, Los Angeles, New York, and Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, while supplies last.
The bodysuits come in adult sizes small to XL, sold separately, with a retail price of $39.99 in both the U.S. and Canada.
