Taylor Swift Turns Heads on the VMAs Red Carpet in Punk-Style Plaid Corset
LONG ISLAND, N.Y. — It’s showtime! Taylor Swift has made her entrance at the UBS Arena for the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the MTV Video Music Awards.
The “Fortnight” artist dazzled in a striking Dior plaid corset paired with a connected skirt over black hot pants, complemented by thigh-high boots and fingerless gloves extending past her elbows. This stunning ensemble closely resembled pieces from the 2025 Dior resort runway collection, first showcased in June.
She accessorized with stunning 30-carat Lorraine Schwartz pear-shaped yellow diamond earrings encircled by black jade.
On this special night, Swift is nominated for a remarkable 12 awards, including: song of the summer, VMAs Most Iconic Performance, video of the year, artist of the year, song of the year, best collaboration, best pop, best direction, best cinematography, best visual effects, best art direction, and best editing.
Swift’s connection with the VMAs goes back to 2008 when she received her first nomination for “Our Song.” Over the years, she has claimed 23 awards and has the chance to make history by winning video of the year for a fifth time, surpassing Beyoncé’s record of 25 solo-artist victories.
This award ceremony marks another exciting event in a busy week for the pop star. Just yesterday, she officially backed Vice President Kamala Harris for her presidential bid. Additionally, over the weekend, she enjoyed several outings with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
