This event follows the 75th Primetime Emmys, which were held eight months ago on Fox after being delayed from their original date in September 2023 due to the strikes involving writers and actors.
An impressive group of presenters, including Selena Gomez, Matt Bomer, Viola Davis, Colin Farrell, Lily Gladstone, Mindy Kaling, Jimmy Kimmel, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Nicola Coughlan, and Kristen Wiig, will be handing out awards.

Who is hosting the 2024 Emmy awards?
This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Eugene Levy and Dan Levy from “Schitt’s Creek,” making them the first father-son duo to take on this role, according to the Television Academy.
“As two Canadians who received our Emmys within a literal quarantine tent, being asked to host this year in a proper theater is a huge honor,” the pair stated while announcing their role. “We are excited to celebrate this remarkable television season and look forward to sharing the evening with all of you.”
2024 Emmy nominees
Leading the nominations is “Shōgun” on FX with a total of 25 nominations, followed closely by FX’s dramedy “The Bear,” which picked up 23 nominations. It’s important to highlight that “The Bear” is recognized for its second season in 2023, excluding the third season that premiered in June. Third place goes to Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” with 21 nominations, and HBO’s “True Detective: Night Country” completes the list with 19 nominations.
For the 2024 Emmy Awards, eligibility covers shows that aired between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024. Only those shows that were broadcast within this 12-month timeframe were nominated.
