Conflict Grows: Donald Trump Expresses Hatred for Taylor Swift After Her Harris Endorsement
Former President Donald Trump has escalated his feud with pop sensation Taylor Swift following her endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris for the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
“I hate Taylor Swift,” Trump announced Sunday on Truth Social, his own social media platform.
This statement came a few days after Swift publicly supported Harris on Instagram, using the opportunity to emphasize the importance of a stable leadership, stating that Americans can achieve more under “calm and not chaos” leadership.
Just weeks prior, Trump had complimented Swift, calling her “very beautiful,” and shared apparent AI-generated images of her endorsing him. Recently, Trump’s campaign has been promoting t-shirts similar to the merchandise from Swift’s ‘Eras Tour.’
Swift’s official support for Harris has reignited Trump’s confrontational relationship with a well-known celebrity, reminiscent of his contentious exchanges during his presidency.
On a recent call with “Fox & Friends,” Trump stated he was “not a Taylor Swift fan” and suggested that she might face repercussions in the market for her endorsement. Instead, he commended Brittany Mahomes, wife of NFL star Patrick Mahomes, whose teammate is Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
Brittany Mahomes recently liked a Trump post on Instagram outlining the GOP platform but then unliked it after facing criticism. She later clarified her vote of support in another post.
“If you want the truth, I like Mrs. Mahomes much better,” Trump commented on Wednesday. “She’s a big Trump supporter.”
