Discover Japan Without Spending a Dime? Japan Airlines is Offering Free Domestic Flights for International Travelers
Travelers can cut costs on their upcoming Japan trip thanks to a new initiative from Japan Airlines.
The airline is providing free domestic flights to help travelers “explore more of Japan” when they book an international flight into the country, as announced in a recent press release. This promotion, aimed at ensuring a “seamless travel experience” throughout Japan, kicked off on September 10.
To be eligible for this offer, customers must reserve both a JAL international flight and a corresponding domestic flight in the same booking.
Japan Airlines connects to 64 domestic airports, allowing travelers to explore sake breweries in Niigata, enjoy beautiful beaches in Okinawa, and visit the 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kyoto.
For U.S. travelers, a usual $100 stopover charge applies if they linger in their first Japanese destination for more than 24 hours. However, this fee is waived for visitors from Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, and Taiwan.
