“Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” will delve into the infamous case of the two siblings who killed their parents in Beverly Hills, California, in 1989, along with “the circumstances surrounding these shocking murders,” according to a statement from Netflix.

The trial of the brothers garnered significant media attention. They claimed the killings of José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez were the result of prolonged abuse and were ultimately convicted of first-degree murder, leading to life sentences.

Created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, the series follows the success of “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.” That controversial series premiered in 2022 and featured Evan Peters as the notorious serial killer responsible for the deaths of at least 17 individuals.
