Kim Porter’s Children Blast Insensitive Conspiracy Theories Surrounding Her Untimely Passing

Children of Kim Porter and Diddy Address ‘Horrific’ Death Conspiracy Theories

The children of Kim Porter and Sean “Diddy” Combs are breaking their silence following the emergence of conspiracy theories regarding her death and a fictitious memoir that has been shared online.

Christian “King” Combs, along with twins D’Lila and Jessie Combs and Quincy Brown, whom Diddy adopted, issued a statement on social media Tuesday evening, declaring the rumors and conspiracy theories to be “completely false” and “hurtful.” Diddy is also a father to three other children from previous relationships.

“We’ve observed numerous painful and false rumors about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, and about our mother’s tragic death that compel us to speak out,” they mentioned in a joint message.

This announcement comes in response to growing rumors around an alleged book attributed to the late model, which includes a report from the Daily Mail earlier this month. The purported book, titled “Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice, From the Other Side,” claims to be composed of diary entries saved on a thumb drive and forwarded to producer Chris Todd prior to her passing.

While the Daily Mail reported that Todd did not provide any evidence validating the authenticity of the book, it was released this month and allegedly discusses details of Combs’ parties, illegal activities, and mistreatment towards Porter.

The book also purportedly contains a “final entry” related to her fatal battle with pneumonia in 2018, with the author insinuating Combs’ involvement.

Porter’s children aimed to correct the inaccuracies, stating, “Claims that our mother composed a book are simply untrue. She did not write one, and anyone claiming to possess a manuscript is misleading others. Moreover, please recognize that any so-called ‘friend’ who speaks on behalf of our mother or her family does not genuinely care for her or her interests.”

On Monday, Brown’s father, singer Al B. Sure!, took to social media to highlight the fraudulent memoir and advocated for an investigation into Porter’s death. His post on Instagram remains active as of Wednesday morning.

Combs had a fluctuating relationship with Porter from 1994 until 2007. She passed away in August 2018 at just 47 years old after being found unresponsive at her residence in the San Fernando Valley.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office later confirmed that her cause of death was pneumonia, certifying the death as natural. This was confirmed by Sarah Ardalani, the former spokeswoman for the Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

“Our lives were turned upside down when we lost our mom,” they concluded in their message. “She was our everything, and nothing has been the same since her departure. While it has been tremendously hard to comprehend how she was taken from us too soon, we have long accepted the true reason for her passing. There was no foul play involved.”

The family is asking for peace as they continue to grieve.

“We are tremendously heartbroken that our tragic loss has become a public spectacle. Our mother deserves to be remembered as the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving person she was. Her memory should not be marred by terrible conspiracy theories,” the statement concluded. “We kindly ask everyone to respect our mother, Kim Porter, and cherish her legacy so she can rest in peace. This is what she truly deserves. We love and miss you, Mommy. Quincy, Christian, Jessie & D’Lila.”

Porter’s name has been mentioned in sexual assault lawsuits against Combs, including allegations made by singer Dawn Richard earlier this month, where she claimed to have seen Porter in distress after leaving a music studio in 2005. Additionally, in a lawsuit filed by April Lampros in May, she alleged that Combs coerced her and the then-girlfriend Porter to use ecstasy and have sexual relations before he assaulted Lampros.

A May investigation by Rolling Stone included claims from two sources stating that the music mogul was physically abusive towards Porter, with former Bad Boy rapper Mark Curry stating, “I recall Kim going through a lot. If you were around them, you could see the toxic dynamics. … I believe every relationship he had that I witnessed was like that.”
