Santa’s helpers: UPS announces more than 125,000 job openings for the holiday season
On Wednesday, UPS revealed plans to hire over 125,000 new workers to assist with holiday deliveries.
The delivery-heavy firm noted on its website that about 75% of their seasonal positions don’t need an interview, allowing “candidates to receive a job offer in as little as 10 minutes.”
UPS is particularly seeking Commercial Driver’s License holders, temporary delivery drivers, and package handlers. Additionally, the company is providing a $250 bonus to current staff who refer new seasonal employees.
The seasonal hires will be included under the collective bargaining agreement UPS established with the Teamsters union in 2023, as confirmed by a union representative to YSL News on Wednesday.
