Pink Addresses Speculation About Social Media Purge Following Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Arrest

Pink sets the record straight on deleting social media accounts after Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ arrest

Pink is addressing the speculation regarding her connection to Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The artist behind “Trustfall” spoke out to clarify her relationship with the controversial media figure after fans assumed that Pink removed her posts on X in reaction to Combs’ recent legal issues following his September 16 arrest in Manhattan.

On Thursday, Pink reached out to her 11 million followers on Instagram, sharing a message in which she stated, “I have no idea why I made headlines this week, but I deleted my Twitter account on February 6!!! The rumors circulating this week are false, and while I have encountered certain individuals briefly, I am not linked to any of those mentioned.”

Earlier this year, she erased all of her posts from X and left the platform altogether due to receiving death threats and experiencing “utter hatred,” which she discussed on the Australian radio show Carrie and Tommy. Just before deleting her account, she posted a message saying, “This account will self-destruct in two minutes.”

Other celebrities have faced similar speculation regarding their connections to Diddy after they also deleted their social media postings. A Threads post from September 22 featured a photo of actress Megan Fox with Diddy at an event, accompanied by a screenshot showing that her Instagram account is empty.

“BREAKING: Actress Megan Fox has wiped every post from her Instagram and X/Twitter accounts dating back to 2013, leading fans to speculate it’s related to the Diddy situation,” stated the text accompanying the post shared originally on X, formerly Twitter. “Usher and Pink also deleted all of their X/Twitter posts today.”

It’s important to note that Fox’s and Pink’s post deletions occurred before Combs’ arrest. Usher reported that his X account was hacked, and his posts have been restored since then.

On September 16, authorities in New York arrested the troubled media personality, who has been engaged in numerous civil lawsuits over accusations of misconduct spanning three decades. The following day, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York disclosed that Combs faces charges related to sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution.

These charges were elaborated in a 14-page grand jury indictment that was subsequently revealed, outlining a significant and ongoing federal investigation into the hip-hop legend. Investigators allege that the 54-year-old orchestrated a complex scheme utilizing his wealth and prominence in the entertainment world to “satisfy his sexual wants.”
