Fresh off her third Emmy win for her role as comedian Deborah Vance in HBO’s “Hacks,” Jean Smart is set to open Season 50 as the host.

This season also features special returning comedians like John Mulaney and Nate Bargatze, along with major celebrities such as Michael Keaton and Ariana Grande. Musical acts include Chappell Roan, Coldplay, Stevie Nicks, and Billie Eilish.

What is the premiere date for ‘SNL’ Season 50?

The new season of “Saturday Night Live” debuts on Saturday, September 28, at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET.

Jean Smart, the Emmy-winning actress from “Hacks”, will be the host for the inaugural episode of the season.

The musical guest for the premiere will be the Grammy Award-nominated artist Jelly Roll.
