Revolutionizing Healthcare: The Future of Point-of-Care Testing with Innovative Bioluminescent Immunosensors

A novel nanobody-based immunosensor, designed to function stably in undiluted biological fluids and harsh conditions, has been developed. Their innovative design leverages BRET -- bioluminescence resonance energy transfer -- and exhibits great potential for point-of-care testing, therapeutic drug monitoring, and environmental applications using paper-based devices. Katy Perry has given a fresh interpretation to the term “bag lady.”

The pop star, known for her hit “Teenage Dream,” attended Balenciaga’s summer 2025 showcase during Paris Fashion Week on Monday, donning a knee-length black dress designed by the fashion house and styled by Tatiana Waterford. The outfit bore a striking resemblance to a piece of baggage instead of a regular dress.

This one-piece creation featured six horizontal silver zippers, with the upper part mimicking a fanny pack or a small suitcase. An adjustable strap held the dress snugly around her neck, while additional straps reminiscent of a duffel bag crisscrossed on the front of the dress.

To enhance the marketing buzz, Perry also showcased a QR code on her hand that directed viewers to a website promoting her upcoming album, “143.”

Despite the ample space provided by her dress, Perry managed to keep it minimal for the fashion event. In a video shared by Perfect Magazine, it was revealed that she might have had a small stash inside one of the zippers, including a tiny bottle of Jack Daniels, her phone, and a broken macaron.

She arrived at the event alongside fellow artist Kim Petras, who is often referred to as KP as well. The two collaborated on the track “Gorgeous,” featured on Perry’s album “143.”

The show on Monday showcased designs by the creative director Demna, who described the collection as paying homage to fashion with a distinct viewpoint.

Since her exit from “American Idol” earlier this year, Perry has faced significant criticism regarding her latest album. The backlash began with her music video for “Woman’s World,” which was poorly received, prompting her to claim that it was meant to be satirical.

Additionally, in August, the Balearic Islands’ Ministry of Agriculture formally warned Perry after the production team for her “Lifetimes” music video allegedly filmed without permission in a protected area of Ses Salines Natural Park.

Perry’s record label, Capitol Records, defended her in a statement to YSL News, mentioning that the local production team assured them that all necessary filming permits had been obtained.

The statement asserted, “Our local crew applied for a permit for this specific location on July 22, and received verbal approval by July 26 to film on July 27.” However, in a September 5 release, the government clarified that the team did not acquire permission from the regional ministry.

She also experienced criticism for collaborating again with Dr. Luke on “143.” Addressing this on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Perry evaded the query, stating, “He was just one among several collaborators, but ultimately, the music is my own.”

Dr. Luke, a prominent producer, was previously involved in a legal dispute with Kesha, who alleged he drugged and assaulted her in 2014, marking an abusive relationship. Meanwhile, Dr. Luke sued Kesha for defamation, and they settled the case last year, with him maintaining his innocence.

Recently, Perry celebrated her successful career at the MTV Video Music Awards with a mashup performance that included fan favorites like “I Kissed a Girl,” “California Gurls,” “E.T.,” “Lifetimes,” and “I’m His, He’s Mine.”

During her acceptance speech for the Video Vanguard Award, she expressed gratitude to MTV for supporting her uniqueness from the beginning. She emphasized that a prolonged successful career requires various elements to fall into place and had a few words for her critics, proclaiming, “There are no decade-long accidents,” and paused for effect.

She further expressed, “I’ve learned to ignore the noise that every artist, especially female artists, must contend with. It’s vital to remain authentic to yourself and your art. Disconnect from social media when needed. Protect your mental health. Take a breather, enjoy nature, and follow your passion, just as I was destined to do.”
