Will Levis Injury Update: Titans QB Sustains Shoulder Injury Against Dolphins

This season has been challenging for Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis.

The second-round pick in 2023 has recorded four touchdowns but has also thrown six interceptions in his first four games. His performance has raised concerns from head coach Brian Callahan, which has led some to question whether he remains a solid option as the starter for the Titans.

Adding to his struggles, Levis is now facing a shoulder injury.

During the Week 4 “Monday Night Football” game against the Dolphins, Levis completed a dive while attempting to secure a first down, which resulted in him landing on his outstretched arm. He left the field to be examined in the blue medical tent and was unable to return for the remainder of the game.

Here’s what you need to know about Levis’ injury:

Will Levis Injury Update

In the first quarter of the Week 4 “Monday Night Football” match, the Titans quarterback injured his right (throwing) shoulder while attempting to dive for a first down.

He left the game for evaluation by the medical team. Although he was seen throwing on the sideline and tried to put his helmet back on, he did not go back into the game.

After the game, Tennessee head coach Brian Callahan provided updates on Levis’ condition, confirming he sustained a shoulder injury and that it was bothering him for the rest of the night. However, Callahan does not anticipate that the injury will end his season; tests will be done to assess the extent of the damage.

“We will perform all precautionary measures,” Callahan stated post-game. “I don’t think it’s serious—just a typical AC-type injury. But we’ll have to wait for an MRI to confirm. I don’t foresee it being a long-term concern for us.”

Callahan mentioned the Titans’ upcoming bye week played a role in the decision to keep Levis off the field, making it easier to allow him to rest.

Veteran backup Mason Rudolph stepped in for Levis and helped lead the Titans to a 31-12 victory over Miami. Callahan confirmed that Levis would return as the starter once he is healthy.
