Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are welcoming their second child

Exciting news for the royal family!

Princess Beatrice, the firstborn of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, is expecting her second child with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The announcement was made by Buckingham Palace on their social media on Tuesday.

“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are thrilled to share that they are anticipating the arrival of their second child early next year; a sibling for Wolfie and Sienna,” stated the palace, also mentioning that King Charles III, Beatrice’s uncle, “has been notified and both families are overjoyed with this news.”

Since their marriage in 2020, which took place in a small, intimate ceremony in Windsor during the COVID-19 pandemic, Beatrice and Mozzi have been happily together. Their first child, Sienna, was born in 2021. Mozzi is also the father of Wolfie, a son from his previous relationship with designer Dara Huang.

“We are all doing great, and Wolfie is an amazing big brother to Sienna,” the couple shared back in 2021 when Sienna’s name was announced.

This past July, Mozzi marked the couple’s fourth wedding anniversary with a heartfelt Instagram post, stating, “Happy 4th wedding anniversary my love. 💍. Every single day with you is a treasure. I love you immensely.”

Beatrice holds the ninth position in the line of succession to the British throne, right after her father, Prince Andrew.

Earlier in May, Beatrice provided insights into her mother’s health, following her 2023 announcement regarding her diagnosis of an “early form of breast cancer” and later treatments for skin cancer.

Beatrice shared on ITV’s “This Morning,” “She’s doing quite well. She had some health challenges last year, but now she is all clear. At 64, she’s flourishing.”

“She’s overcome a lot, and now she seems to be really thriving. We’re reminded to prioritize our health and seek early medical checks. My sister and I are truly proud of her for being proactive about her health.”
