Wendy Williams Opens Up About Diddy: “It’s Truly Distressing”

Wendy Williams speaks out on Diddy: ‘It’s just so terrible’

Wendy Williams is addressing Sean “Diddy” Combs after her prior remarks about his alleged misconduct.

The iconic talk show host, who has been mostly out of the limelight due to serious health concerns, including frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, shared with the Daily Mail that it’s “about time” for an investigation into the music mogul.

“What’s really strange is that so many people have told me, ‘Wendy, you predicted this,'” she mentioned during the interview released on Tuesday. “Even some family members have echoed the same sentiments.”

YSL News has contacted Williams’ representative for feedback.

Williams and Combs have reportedly had a fraught relationship for many years. Charlamagne Tha God, who co-hosted her radio show in the 2000s, has mentioned that Williams, 60, has had issues with Combs, 54, dating back to her days as a gossip and celebrity news presenter in the 1990s and early 2000s.

She now believes that justice is finally on the verge of being served: “It is about time,” she told the outlet.

“Watching that footage of (Cassie) being assaulted on TV. it was just awful,” she stated, alluding to the 2016 hotel surveillance footage showing Combs attacking former girlfriend Cassie Ventura. “But now we have to consider, how many other instances? How many other victims? How many more women? It’s just so terrible.”

As for herself, Williams mentioned she is “doing well.” The host and actress was seen in August, marking her first public appearance since her legal and health challenges came to light earlier this year.

In September, the former talk show host’s guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, filed an updated legal complaint in New York as part of a lawsuit against A+E Networks concerning the Lifetime documentary “Where is Wendy Williams?” Morrissey claimed that Williams was not in a position to consent to being filmed for the documentary.

Combs was arrested on September 16 and faced charges for sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution the next day. He has been held in a Specialized Housing Unit at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, maintaining his innocence amid a surge of civil lawsuits over the last year, and has entered a not guilty plea to all charges.

Combs has been denied bail twice and is now appealing again for his release on a $50 million bond.

He faces new accusations from 120 individuals, both male and female, who are set to file civil lawsuits against the media mogul, as stated by Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee.

Buzbee revealed during a press conference on Tuesday that some of his clients were minors at the time of the alleged misconduct, accusing Combs of “violent sexual assault or rape,” “facilitated sex using a controlled substance,” “distribution of video recordings,” and “sexual abuse of minors.”
