Live Score Updates: Dodgers vs Padres in NLDS Game 1, Playoff Viewing Information

LOS ANGELES — The intense baseball rivalry on the West Coast heats up once again as the playoffs commence.

This Saturday, the Los Angeles Dodgers, who clinched the National League West, will compete against the San Diego Padres in Game 1 of the National League Divisional Series at Dodger Stadium. This matchup marks the third postseason encounter between these two teams in the last five years.

Coming off a successful wild-card sweep against the Atlanta Braves, the Padres will put Dylan Cease on the mound, while the NL’s top-seeded Dodgers will counter with Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

The Padres won the season series 8-5, but the last clash saw the Dodgers celebrating yet another division title.

The Dodgers are looking to overcome their recent playoff struggles, having lost six consecutive postseason games, a streak that started when the Padres eliminated them in the divisional round in 2022.

Stay tuned for live updates from Saturday’s game.

Clayton Kershaw done for 2024

LOS ANGELES — As the Dodgers gear up for the 2024 playoffs, they will be without their Hall of Fame left-handed pitcher.

Manager Dave Roberts confirmed before Game 1 of the National League Divisional Series that Clayton Kershaw will not pitch again this season.

“Clayton has done everything possible to keep moving forward and give himself a shot at participating in the postseason,” Roberts stated. “But given his current physical condition, the foot and toe issues are worsening. This will mark the end of Clayton’s season for 2024.”
