Caitlin Clark to Participate in ‘The Annika’ LPGA Pro-Am This November

After an impressive playoff performance and being nearly unanimously awarded the WNBA Rookie of the Year, Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever is taking the offseason seriously with a focus on relaxation. It was revealed on Monday that she will join the LPGA’s pro-am event, ‘The Annika,’ slated for this November.

“Golf is a passion of mine, so participating in a pro-am event named after a legend like Annika Sorenstam is thrilling,” Clark shared. “Gainbridge has been a pioneer in advocating for women’s sports, as shown through their support for me, this event, Billie Jean King, and Parity Week. I can’t wait to watch all the LPGA players at the driving range, take part in the Women’s Leadership Summit, and tee off in the pro-am alongside Annika.”

Clark has recently shown a significant interest in golf. After the Fever were knocked out of the WNBA playoffs on September 25, she quickly expressed her intent to play golf extensively during the offseason. At a postgame conference, she remarked, “That’s what I’m going to be doing until it gets too cold in Indiana. I’ll aim to become a professional golfer.” The Annika will provide her with a platform to see how she stacks up against the pros.

When is Caitlin Clark’s LPGA Pro-Am Golf Event?

The pro-am for The Annika is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, with the official tournament kicking off the following day. Clark will also be part of the Women’s Leadership Summit, acting as a panelist, on Tuesday, November 12.
