Lunds & Byerly’s Recalls Lone Star Dip Amid Mold Growth Concerns

Lunds & Byerlys’ Lone Star Dip Recalled Over Possible Mold Contamination

On Friday, Lunds & Byerlys issued a voluntary recall of its L&B Lone Star Dip due to concerns of potential mold contamination.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported that hundreds of containers of a dipping sauce from a Minnesota supermarket chain were recalled because of the risk of mold contamination.

Lunds & Byerlys, a high-end grocery store chain, voluntarily recalled approximately 500 containers of its L&B Lone Star Dip, as announced by the FDA on Friday.

This product was available at Lunds & Byerlys locations throughout the Twin Cities and nearby regions. So far, there have been no reported illnesses related to this recall.

YSL News reached out to Lunds & Byerlys on Monday but has yet to hear back from them.

How Was the Potential Mold Contamination Discovered?

Employees at the store noticed the possible contamination and informed the quality assurance team at Lunds & Byerlys, according to the FDA.

If you recently purchased the L&B Lone Star Dip, the FDA suggests you return it to any Lunds & Byerlys store for a full refund, which does not require a receipt, or dispose of it immediately.

This dip is typically meant for use on sandwiches, wraps, or with Lunds & Byerlys tortilla chips, according to the supermarket’s website.
