Justin Timberlake Postpones New Jersey Concert Due to Injury

Justin Timberlake has expressed his regrets to fans after canceling a concert in New Jersey, citing an unspecified injury.

The singer of “Selfish” announced the concert’s cancellation in Newark, New Jersey, on Tuesday through an Instagram update.

“I apologize for postponing tonight’s performance,” Timberlake shared on Instagram. “I’m dealing with an injury that’s stopping me from performing. I’m really disappointed I can’t see you all right now, but I’m working hard to reschedule as soon as possible.” He promised fans he would “make it up to you and provide the show you all deserve.”

Timberlake also conveyed gratitude, thanking his followers for their understanding and “constant support.”

The artist known for “Say Something” is currently on his extensive Forget Tomorrow World Tour and is scheduled to perform on October 11 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

In addition, last month, Timberlake admitted to a lesser charge following his June DWI arrest in the Hamptons. He pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired, which is categorized as a noncriminal traffic offense.

“I hold myself to a very high standard, and this was not it,” Timberlake stated to reporters post-hearing. “To everyone listening, even if you’ve had just one drink, please don’t drive. There are so many alternatives. Call a friend or use Uber.”

Timberlake’s lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., reiterated to the media that Timberlake was “not intoxicated” during his DWI arrest. Burke noted that Timberlake had “one drink in two hours” and didn’t consume “other people’s drinks.”

Sag Harbor Village Justice Carl Irace also provisionally suspended Timberlake’s driver’s license in New York a few weeks after the incident in Sag Harbor, a village in The Hamptons located about 100 miles from New York City.

Timberlake was stopped in his 2025 BMW for failing to obey a stop sign and for not maintaining his lane.

According to the Sag Harbor Village Police Department, “Upon investigation, it was found that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle while under the influence.”

In March, Timberlake launched his sixth solo album “Everything I Thought It Was,” featuring the lead single “Selfish.” This album is his first since the acclaimed “Man of the Woods,” released in 2018.
