TikTok star now faces murder charges in therapist’s death: ‘A violent physical altercation’

A TikTok personality has been charged with first-degree murder following the discovery of a Baton Rouge therapist’s body, which was found bound and wrapped in a blue tarp on a Louisiana roadway last month.

Terryon Thomas, 20, was first taken into custody on October 1 in Texas. He was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle, criminal damage to property, and resisting arrest related to the fatal attack on 69-year-old William Nicholas Abraham. Thomas allegedly stole Abraham’s car after the incident.

According to court documents obtained by YSL News, surveillance footage showed Abraham entering Thomas’ apartment the night before he went missing, and shortly thereafter, Thomas was seen dragging what appeared to be a body out of the apartment and into Abraham’s vehicle.

The following day, on October 1, Thomas was also charged with second-degree murder and obstruction of justice in connection with the case, as noted in a warrant from the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office.

This Tuesday, officials confirmed to YSL News that Thomas was extradited back to Louisiana, where he appeared in court before East Baton Rouge Parish Commissioner Jermaine Guillory. During the hearing, prosecutors revealed that the charge had been upgraded to first-degree murder.

Commissioner Guillory ordered Thomas to be held without bond and scheduled a bond hearing for mid-January while assigning him a public defender.

As of Wednesday, Thomas had not entered a plea, a court clerk informed YSL News.

Thomas, who goes by the handle Mr. Prada on TikTok and has nearly 4 million followers, remains incarcerated at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, according to sheriff’s spokesperson Savannah Joness.

The public defender’s office in Baton Rouge stated they could not comment on the case.

Discovery of a tarp, a body, and a stolen vehicle

The new murder charge emerged after the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office revealed that Abraham’s body was discovered on September 29 along Highway 51, situated about 60 miles northeast of Baton Rouge, between the communities of Fluker and Tangipahoa.

The arrest affidavit indicated that when the blue tarp was opened, Abraham’s body was found encased in a gray comforter, secured with duct tape. The coroner later determined the cause of death to be blunt force trauma, classifying it as a homicide.

On the same day, authorities noticed that Abraham’s vehicle, a black Lincoln MKZ, was reported missing, and footage subsequently revealed the car in a Denham Springs shopping center, located west of Baton Rouge. Subsequent camera reviews led police to identify a person of interest who exited the vehicle.

Law enforcement released the individual’s images to the public, and shortly after, a Baton Rouge officer attempted to pull over a car matching the description of Abraham’s vehicle, around 50 miles from the location of the body. The officer found that the license plate confirmed the car was stolen, but the driver fled from the stop, crashed the car, and escaped on foot.

The officer later identified Thomas as the suspect in question.

After fleeing to Texas, Thomas was apprehended and booked into the Dallas County jail on October 1, according to online records.

He was extradited to Louisiana on Monday, as reported by officials to YSL News.

Evidence points to ‘a violent physical altercation’

While the relationship between Thomas and Abraham is still unclear, the arrest affidavit reveals that video footage shows the victim arriving at Thomas’ apartment the night before his death.

At approximately 11 p.m. on September 28, the warrant indicates that Abraham was seen on surveillance entering the apartment complex wearing the same outfit that he was found dead in the following day.

Witnesses reported seeing Thomas dragging an object wrapped in a blue tarp just hours after Abraham was last seen. The warrant details that “the accused appeared to struggle while pulling the tarp down the stairs” and was observed loading it into the victim’s car.

A search of Thomas’ residence yielded signs of “a violent physical altercation.” Analysts discovered blood matching Abraham’s DNA and a variety of “sharp objects” and other weapons scattered throughout the apartment.

After his arrest in Dallas, Thomas chose not to speak with investigators, as revealed in court documents.

Victim served as a Catholic priest for 11 years

According to information on his official website, Abraham was not only a life coach but also a licensed professional counselor, motivational speaker, author, and more. The biography indicates he dedicated 11 years of his life to being a priest in the Catholic Church.

The sheriff’s office confirmed that, as of Wednesday, the motive behind the murder is still under investigation, and currently, there is no evidence suggesting that Thomas had been a client of the victim.

Thomas operates two TikTok accounts, one of which is named “Mr. Prada 456”. These accounts feature vibrant posts that include dancing, memes, and various other social trends.

In a post from the previous year, the TikTok creator humorously showcased himself rehearsing for a possible mugshot.

“practicing for my mugshot cus this might be the year someone gonna meet god if they piss me off too much,” the caption said.
