Torilena May Fields, age 32, was arrested in Robertson County on Tuesday night and is facing charges including abuse of a corpse, obstructing governmental operations, and tampering with evidence, according to Kentucky State Police in a news statement. Police executed a search warrant on her property after receiving a report concerning a deceased woman on Wednesday.

Fields, who resides in the small town of Mount Olivet, is currently detained at Bourbon County Detention Center. Her arraignment is set for Monday afternoon.

As of Thursday afternoon, YSL News has not been able to identify the attorney representing Fields.

Fields allegedly found with blood on her during the arrest

According to a police citation, officers discovered a “dismembered body” at Fields’ home situated near a “blood-stained mattress,” with additional blood found on the back porch, local news outlet WLWT reported.

A witness claimed that Fields was “casting spells on them and acting aggressively,” as noted in the citation. Officers also observed drag marks on the grass leading from the property, WLWT reported.

When police attempted to remove Fields from her home, she was found covered in blood and refused to exit, according to station WXIX.

Victim’s limbs and head were severed

The police report indicated that the victim’s arms, legs, and head had been severed from the body, WXIX reported.

Additionally, police discovered “multiple body parts and organs” inside a folded mattress. They also found what seemed to be cooked human remains in a pot that was still warm inside the kitchen oven, WXIX reported.

While authorities have not confirmed the identity of the dismembered body, WLWT has reported it belonged to Fields’ mother.

An autopsy is scheduled for release on Friday, as confirmed by state police to YSL News.
