Do I need to register to vote?

If you haven’t done so yet, you must register to vote in Texas.

How can I register?

You can register in person at your county’s voter registrar office. Alternatively, you can print a registration form or obtain one at a public library, high school, or specific government offices, complete it, and send it to your county’s registrar office.

In Texas, the registration deadline is October 7.

Am I allowed to vote by mail?

You may qualify for mail-in voting if you are over 65, sick or disabled, away from the county during early voting or on Election Day, expect to give birth within three weeks of the Election, or are currently in jail. Your request for an absentee ballot must be received by mail, email, fax, or in-person at the Early Voting Clerk’s office by October 25. You can also apply online.
