Andrew Garfield and Amelia Dimoldenberg Share a Playful Chemistry in Flirty Video

Andrew Garfield: “There’s ‘a different vibe’ in playful video with Amelia Dimoldenberg”

Amelia Dimoldenberg may have landed herself a genuine date during her Chicken Shop Date chat with Andrew Garfield.

Garfield, who appeared as a guest—along with some romantic banter—on Dimoldenberg’s YouTube channel on Friday to promote his latest movie, “We Live in Time,” had fans in the comments urging him and the 30-year-old to actually go on a date.

“I think there’s a connection,” Dimoldenberg, famous for her quirky flirting style and chemistry with her interviewees, commented.

The 41-year-old actor, known for his role in “The Amazing Spider-Man,” who is reportedly single, responded, “Do you really believe that, or is this just part of the (show)?” He continued, “If we weren’t filming, do you think we would actually consider going on a date? We could have had a date at some point, maybe.”

“I’m not sure,” Dimoldenberg replied.

“If we take away all the practicality and logic, I actually think we could have gone on a date without all this,” Garfield insisted. He then asked, “Do you want to get married? Do you want kids? What are your biggest dreams?”

When Dimoldenberg hesitated to answer, Garfield encouraged her to openly share about herself: “Let’s let this interview unfold as it is. It’s like, a different vibe.”

Andrew Garfield: “We’d have a wonderful time without the cameras”

“Love probably happens when you aren’t actively seeking it,” Dimoldenberg, who keeps her personal life private, said about romance. She mentioned, “That’s why I was so relaxed today; I’ve just given up. I really have; I’ve truly given up.”

“I think we’d have a fantastic time without the cameras,” Garfield later suggested. “I believe we’d enjoy each other’s company.”

“I think we should just be friends,” Dimoldenberg replied, backtracking on her earlier flirtations. “I’m not sure what I want.”

“I feel like this should be more like a practice run,” Garfield concluded. “We should do it again, and do it better this time.”

One of the most liked comments reads, “So, we definitely just watched them on what feels like a real date while pretending it was casual.” Meanwhile, the official YouTube account chimed in with: “now KISS.”

Dimoldenberg’s celebrity interviewees typically play along with her cheeky and flirty demeanor, regardless of their relationship status. Some, such as Matty Healy from The 1975, end up flipping the script on Dimoldenberg, who often leads the playful conversations in her chicken shop setting.

“This is the first chicken shop date I’ve seen where Amelia actually drops the character, omg,” noted another commenter.

Dimoldenberg, now celebrating the 10th anniversary of her YouTube channel, and Garfield have heightened excitement for their chat through their encounters at various events over the years.

Their flirty exchanges on the Golden Globes red carpet in 2023 became a viral moment when Garfield remarked, “I only ever want to see you.”

To Dimoldenberg’s surprise, Garfield followed up by saying, “That’s not the entire statement! I only ever want to see you in these types of scenarios.”

“What about different types of situations?” she inquired, to which he replied, “Not interested.”
