Fantasy Football Week 8: Trade Value Assessment and Rankings for the Rest of the Season

With over a third of the 2024 fantasy football season gone, the best ways to enhance your rosters now are through the waiver wire or trades.

Assessing a fantasy trade can feel overwhelming. Many managers tend to overestimate the value of their players. That’s where the Week 8 fantasy football trade value charts become helpful. You can also explore my Week 8 fantasy rankings for guidance on lineup choices for the week.

These charts serve as your personal trade analyzer for standard, half-PPR (points per reception), and full PPR leagues. If you receive a trade proposal, just grab your phone to do some quick calculations and check the values for both players involved. Don’t worry, we account for six-points-per-passing-touchdown and superflex leagues as well.

The values in these charts are derived from my rest of season rankings and projections.

Key reminder: If you receive an uneven trade offer (like a 2-for-1 or 3-for-1), make sure to factor in the values of the players you would have to bench or drop in your analysis. For instance, if someone proposes Nick Chubb, Romeo Doubs, and DeAndre Hopkins (total value of 69) for Breece Hall (value 58), at first glance, it seems beneficial. However, if you have to bench Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Ricky Pearsall (combined value of 24), this deal might not be in your favor overall.

Another important point: The “1 QB” values are relevant for standard scoring leagues. The value of quarterbacks tends to decrease in PPR formats, so you’ll want to reduce their values by about 8% for half-PPR and another 8% for full PPR. For example, Lamar Jackson’s standard scoring value is 33; in half-PPR, that would drop to 30 (8% less), and in full PPR, it would be 28 (16% less).

The rankings are structured based on how players should be valued in leagues with 12 teams. The players are listed according to their half-PPR values.

Quarterback Trade Value Assessment
