Do I need to register to vote?

Yes, registration is necessary if you haven’t already done so. You can verify your registration status here.

How can I register?

You may register to vote online or download a paper form that can be mailed or brought to your local municipal clerk. A proof of residence is required for either method.

What’s the deadline for registration?

The registration deadline is October 16 for online and mail submissions, and November 1 for in-person registrations at your municipal clerk’s office. Additionally, you can register at your polling place on Election Day.

Is mail-in voting available?

Every voter in Wisconsin has the option to request an absentee ballot without needing to provide a reason. You can request this ballot online or reach out to your municipal clerk via mail or email. Starting October 22, you can also request it in person. (If you opt for an in-person request, you must either vote at the clerk’s office or receive the ballot by mail.) Requests made online or by mail must be submitted by October 31, while in-person requests must be completed by November 3.
