Liam Neeson is contemplating stepping away from his action film career.

The 72-year-old actor stated that he might retire from action movies by 2025, saying, “Maybe at the end of next year. I think that’s it,” during a recent interview with People.

Neeson is scheduled to appear in the action film “Absolution” next month. Despite the director, Hans Petter Moland, expressing confidence in Neeson’s performance, the actor acknowledges the realities of aging.

“I’m 72 — it has to stop at some stage,” he remarked, noting that he occasionally assigns some fight scenes to stunt double Mark Vanselow. “You can’t fool audiences. I don’t want Mark to be fighting my battles for me.”

Neeson has a packed schedule in 2025, with an appearance in the thriller “Cold Storage” listed on IMDb.

Additionally, he will team up with Pamela Anderson in a reboot of the “Naked Gun” series next year.

The 56-year-old actress will play the romantic lead in the revamped version of the comedy originally featuring Leslie Nielsen, a representative for Anderson confirmed to YSL News earlier this year.

The film is scheduled for a July 2025 release, as announced by Paramount Pictures.

The original “Naked Gun” trilogy, inspired by the TV show “Police Squad!,” starred Nielsen as the bumbling lieutenant Frank Drebin, with Priscilla Presley as the love interest throughout the films.

Neeson has expressed admiration for Anderson, saying, “I’m madly in love with her. I can’t compliment her enough. She’s hilarious.”

However, Neeson also shared with People that he’s not looking to date anyone since the passing of his wife, Natasha Richardson.

Neeson was married to “The Parent Trap” star from 1994 until her untimely death at 45 in 2009. He has also previously dated Barbra Streisand and Helen Mirren.
