Subway Introduces Festive Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie
For cookie enthusiasts, Subway has exciting news: they are launching their latest treat—the Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie.
According to a news release, this cookie will debut in Subway outlets starting November 1 and will be available through December 31.
The Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie marks Subway’s second footlong cookie introduction and is their inaugural festive footlong cookie, as noted by a Subway representative on Friday.
This festive cookie will be part of Subway’s assortment of snacks, all retailing for $5 or less.
Created from double chocolate dough and peppermint extract, it features chocolate and white chocolate chips along with bits of red and white candy canes. The cookie will be served warm and packaged in holiday-themed footlong containers.
Previous Footlong Cookie Launched Last Year
Last December, Subway teased cookie fans with a “limited preview” of the footlong cookie in celebration of National Cookie Day. Customers in cities like Chicago, Dallas, Miami, and New York City could receive a complimentary footlong cookie with the purchase of any footlong sub, according to the company.
In January, Subway rolled out the footlong cookie nationwide and announced plans to introduce two new desserts for sweet-toothed patrons.
This year’s new offerings included:
- The Cinnabon Footlong Churro priced at $2 (made with cinnamon and sugar)
- The Auntie Anne’s Footlong Pretzel available for $3 (accompanied by Subway’s honey mustard)
Subway Describes Holiday Cookie as a ‘Reinvented’ Classic
“Since their launch earlier this year, our Footlong Cookies have become a hit with customers,” said Paul Fabre, Subway’s senior vice president of culinary and innovation, in a news release regarding the holiday version.
He added, “We are eager for customers to enjoy our new twist on a beloved cookie flavor in this footlong format.”
Starting November 1, customers can place orders for this seasonal delight through Subway.com, the Subway App, or directly at their neighborhood Subway restaurants.
