Target’s Thanksgiving meal package costs $5 less than last year: Here’s what you get


With Thanksgiving only a month away, stores are starting to share their holiday specials. This year, customers shopping at Target can feed a family of four for just $20.

 

This new deal is $5 cheaper than last year’s offering and features turkey, stuffing, and five additional side dishes, according to a press release from the company sent out on Monday.

“Target is helping shoppers manage their budgets with turkey prices that are 20% lower per pound compared to last year,” the announcement stated.

This year’s Thanksgiving meal for four priced at $20 includes:

  • Good & Gather Premium Basted Young Turkey (frozen) – up to 10 pounds
  • Good & Gather Russet Potatoes – 5 pounds
  • Del Monte Cut Green Beans – 14.5 ounces
  • Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup – 10.5 ounces
  • Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce – 14 ounces
  • Stove Top Turkey Stuffing Mix – 6 ounces
  • Heinz Home Style Roasted Turkey Gravy – 12 ounces

 

In addition to traditional dishes, Target mentioned that many families enjoy pizza the night before Thanksgiving. Therefore, from November 13 to 16, members of the paid Target Circle 360 program will receive a free frozen pizza with same-day delivery orders.

 

Target reduces prices for Thanksgiving dinner and more

 

Target’s recent announcement aligns with their commitment to cut prices on over 2,000 items, as stated by the company.

 

“By offering our Thanksgiving dinner menu at just $20, alongside a variety of hosting and gifting options along with special Target Circle 360 perks, we’re providing the exceptional value and quality that distinguishes Target,” said Rick Gomez, Target’s chief commercial officer, in the press release.

Target is also presenting side dishes like Good & Gather Cheddar Mac and Cranberry Goat Cheese, as well as desserts, including Favorite Day apple and pumpkin pie, priced below $5.

 

They will also feature gifting options for hosting events, including fresh flowers, wines, and a Good & Gather charcuterie platter available for $11.99. Additionally, Target plans to introduce nearly 700 new food, drink, and entertaining products this year.

Target to offer home design deals this Thanksgiving

The company announced that customers can expect special items designed by collaborator John Derian this holiday season. Derian’s Thanksgiving home collection will be available for a limited time, featuring dinnerware and novelty pillows for under $40.

 

Target will also provide gourmet food and drink gift options from Marks & Spencer, including the Gingerbread Tin and Salted Caramel Pinecones, along with 11 new home items like London-themed decorations and mugs all under $20.

The retailer is selling stocking stuffers starting at just $2, gifts under $10, and Good & Gather and Favorite Day activity kits for $12 and below.

 

Finally, Target highlighted its price matching policy, free memberships for Target Circle, and the paid Target Circle 360 membership, which offers customers unlimited same-day delivery without fees on orders exceeding $35, along with free two-day shipping and extended return periods.
