California Street Racer Slams into Crowd: Shocking Dodge Charger Incident Caught on Video

 

A video captures a street racer in California crashing into a crowd, trapping people beneath a Dodge Charger


Authorities in Southern California are looking into an incident of illegal street racing that occurred on the morning of Halloween.

A car crashed into a group of people, injuring two individuals.

 

According to Sergeant Matt Sutter from the Anaheim Police Department, the incident occurred early Thursday around 2 a.m. It involved a black Dodge Charger and two pedestrians at the intersection of East Orangewood Avenue and State College Boulevard.

Anaheim is located in Orange County, just outside Los Angeles. The accident happened on the southern side of Angel Stadium, which is home to the Los Angeles Major League Baseball team.

The intersection was taken over by street racing, and amidst the chaos, a Charger hit two pedestrians, both 19 years old. One of the victims was from Orange County while the other hailed from Lancaster, a city situated about 100 miles northwest of where the accident occurred.

 

According to police reports, the driver then ran away on foot.

A video shared online, acquired by YSL News, shows a Charger speeding down South College Boulevard. As it reaches the intersection, the car veers left into a gathering of spectators, hitting several individuals and trapping at least two beneath it.

A vehicle came to a stop in the middle of an intersection, facing the wrong way.

“Oh no, no, no!” someone shouted as captured on video.

The tires of the car began to spin, and moments later, the Charger lurched forward and seemed to drive over additional pedestrians.

The crowd reacted with anger towards the driver’s actions. People rushed towards the vehicle, some kicking it and others striking its windows.

Anaheim street racing victims hospitalized after being struck

According to police, both pedestrians involved in the accident with a vehicle were taken to the hospital.

As of Friday morning, Sutter reported that both individuals were in stable condition and no arrests had been made regarding the incident. The Charger involved is still under investigation.
