Ohio State Surpasses Georgia for No. 2 Rank in NCAA College Football

Penn State has slipped two spots to No. 5 but remains ahead of other one-loss Power Four teams, with Texas at No. 6 and Tennessee at No. 7. In the Big Ten, Indiana rises four places to No. 9 after overcoming a 10-0 deficit against Michigan State to win with a stunning 47 unanswered points. They hold the lead before No. 10 Brigham Young, which didn’t have a game on Saturday.
SMU climbs six positions to No. 11 after a strong performance, defeating Pittsburgh, granting the Panthers their first loss of the season. Following this, Clemson drops significantly to No. 18 after being bested at home by Louisville, leaving only SMU and No. 4 Miami undefeated in ACC play.
Clemson’s loss results in an 11-position fall to No. 18. Other teams that dropped in the rankings include Iowa State at No. 12, Kansas State at No. 16, Navy at No. 33, Memphis at No. 38, and Nebraska at No. 51.
