What’s Coming Up on ‘SNL’ After the Election: Hosts, Guests, and Viewing Details for the November 9 Episode

Who will host ‘SNL’ after the election? Details on cast, musical guest, and how to watch the episode on Nov. 9

After Vice President Kamala Harris made an unexpected guest appearance on “Saturday Night Live” last weekend, the iconic comedy series is set to feature a familiar name as the host for its 7th episode of Season 50, scheduled for the Saturday following Election Day.

Bill Burr will be the host for the Nov. 9 episode, marking his second hosting stint on the post-election edition of the show, as stated by NBC. Previously, Burr held the hosting gig for Season 46, Episode 2.

In the recent episode, writer and comedian John Mulaney hosted for the sixth time, with pop star Chappell Roan performing as the musical guest.

During this appearance, Harris, the Democratic nominee for president, stopped by the set to offer guidance to Maya Rudolph, who portrayed her character.

Highlights of Harris’s ‘SNL’ Appearance

In a comedic skit, Rudolph’s portrayal of Harris prepared for her final rally in Pennsylvania, expressing a desire to speak with someone who truly understands her situation: a Black, South Asian woman running for president, ideally from the Bay Area.

She sat in front of an empty vanity mirror when the actual Vice President appeared across from her, dressed identically, and received nearly 30 seconds of applause and cheers before offering her advice.

“You and me both, sista,” Harris said as the applause faded.

“I’m just here to remind you that you’ve got this because you can accomplish what your opponent can’t—you can open doors,” Harris advised, referencing a recent viral clip of Donald Trump struggling to open a garbage truck door before a rally in Wisconsin.
