Kyle Hamilton injury updates: Ravens star DB has sprained ankle

BALTIMORE – During the Thursday matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton had to leave the game due to a sprained ankle.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh commented on the injury, stating, “It’s not a serious ankle injury.” He indicated that he does not anticipate Hamilton being sidelined for an extended period.

Hamilton, a standout All-Pro player in 2023 and a third-year athlete from Notre Dame, was taken to the locker room close to the two-minute mark of the first half with the help of Baltimore’s training team. Initially marked as questionable to return, he was later confirmed out in the third quarter.

On a first-down play, just before halftime, Hamilton fell to the ground, visibly frustrated as Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow completed a 13-yard pass to Ja’Marr Chase. Shortly after, he was escorted to the medical tent by the trainers.

Kaylee Hartung from Amazon reported that Hamilton was undergoing evaluation in the X-ray room of M&T Bank Stadium. Later in the third quarter, he was seen on the Ravens’ sideline without his uniform and wearing a walking boot on his right foot.

In the first half, Hamilton recorded four tackles (two solo) and managed two pass breakups. His exit occurred with the game tied at 7-7, but shortly after, Cincinnati took a 14-7 lead just four plays later.

The Ravens will play again in 10 days, facing the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 17.
