Frog Populations Stage a Stunning Recovery After Disease Crisis

Thanks to the consistent and focused efforts of researchers and conservationists to save, then reintroduce, mountain yellow-legged frogs to lakes in Yosemite National Park, their populations are again thriving. A remote lakeshore deep inside Yosemite National Park teems with life: coyotes, snakes, birds, tadpoles, frogs. The frogs are at the heart of this scene, which

Charlamagne tha God Expresses Optimism About Trump’s Victory, Supports Harris

Charlamagne tha God shared that he feels “obliged to be” hopeful regarding Donald Trump’s win in the 2024 elections, attributing this success to Trump’s focus on “dinner table issues.”

“I genuinely believe in the future of our country because I have no alternative,” the well-known radio host mentioned during an interview on ABC’s “This Week.” The interview aired on Sunday. “The vice president’s remarks in her concession speech were quite accurate when she stated that the promise of America continues to shine brightly. I see no reason to think otherwise.”

Charlamagne had an extensive conversation with Vice President Kamala Harris in October, discussing her marijuana legalization proposal, potential reparations for Black Americans, and the claims from critics labeling Trump’s agenda as fascist.

In his interview with “This Week,” Charlamagne remarked that Harris “deserves much more praise” for rejuvenating Democratic prospects after President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 race following a poor performance in a debate earlier in the summer.

“The vice president definitely made many individuals sit up and notice, sparking curiosity. With Biden, everyone seemed to be completely oblivious,” he said.

On the topic of how Trump managed to gain traction in traditionally Democratic areas, the host noted it was “due to those dinner table issues,” positing that throughout the campaign, Trump’s message stayed centered on border security and living costs.

“Everyday, people wake up hoping to have more money in their pockets and to feel safe. It doesn’t matter if you’re black, white, gay, straight, or whatever your faith may be; those are the two priorities in your mind. How can I save money and ensure my safety?”

“‘Build the wall’ might sound simplistic, but do you know what it signifies to people? It’s about border security. Nothing more, nothing less,” he added.

Karl inquired if Charlamagne had connected with Harris after her defeat and what his message would be when he sees her. Charlamagne stated he has not yet spoken with the vice president but would tell her, “She has nothing to be ashamed of. She conducted a fantastic campaign with only 100 days to prepare.”

When questioned if Harris should have taken a stronger stance to distinguish herself from the Biden administration and advocate a different vision for the country, Charlamagne responded, “If she aimed to pursue a different path, she should have made that clear. Again, this boils down to messaging. It relates back to communication.”

Charlamagne also mentioned that he reached out to Lara Trump, co-chair of the Republican National Committee, to congratulate her on the victory and expressed hope that Trump’s presidency will be “an administration for all Americans.”

“I feel optimistic since he is still the president of the United States. I’m not wishing for America’s failure. Why would I do that?”
