Vikings’ Camryn Bynum celebrates game-winning interception with Raygun dance

Minnesota Vikings safety Camryn Bynum took a week to prepare for a spectacular interception celebration, drawing inspiration from an Olympic star.

After intercepting Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Mac Jones in the fourth quarter of their 12-7 win, Bynum performed a dance mimicry of Rachael “Raygun” Gunn, the Australian breakdancer who gained popularity at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Bynum nailed all the signature moves, ending with the iconic kangaroo pose as his teammates cheered him on.

This celebratory display had been in Bynum’s plans for several days. He revealed on social media last week that he had a special celebration prepared after he missed an opportunity in the previous game against the Indianapolis Colts. Someone remarked that Bynum seemed more driven by his desire to showcase an elaborate celebration, to which he simply replied, “literally.”

The timing of the celebration was significant; just a few days earlier, Gunn revealed her retirement from competitive breakdancing following a disappointing Olympic outcome, making Bynum’s tribute even more meaningful.
