Engineers Revolutionize CO2 Conversion: Turning Emissions into Valuable Resources

A new electrode design developed at MIT boosts the efficiency of electrochemical reactions that turn carbon dioxide into ethylene and other products. As the world struggles to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, researchers are seeking practical, economical ways to capture carbon dioxide and convert it into useful products, such as transportation fuels, chemical feedstocks, or even

NFL MVP Rankings: Should Steelers QB Russell Wilson Be Considered?

Russell Wilson has led the Pittsburgh Steelers to three victories in his first three games this season, securing their position at the top of the AFC North for the past two weeks.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin faced scrutiny for choosing Wilson over Justin Fields despite a good start at 4-2, but he must be pleased with his choice now.

Wilson played a crucial role in a dominant victory over the New York Jets, recording three touchdowns, followed by two key scoring drives against the New York Giants, and he threw the decisive touchdown pass to clinch a 28-27 win against the Washington Commanders.

With seven total touchdowns to his name, Wilson has significantly contributed to the Steelers, who boast a strong 7-2 record, their best start since 2020, when they suffered their first defeat in Week 13.

But is that performance enough to place Wilson in the MVP conversation? Not just yet. However, his contributions in Pittsburgh have certainly sparked some discussion.

A victory next week against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens may propel Wilson into YSL News Sports’ NFL MVP rankings.

Currently, other quarterbacks like Kyler Murray from the Arizona Cardinals and Jalen Hurts from the Philadelphia Eagles have stronger cases for MVP, as they have participated in every game leading their teams.

Joe Burrow and Baker Mayfield, both tied for the NFL lead with 24 touchdown passes, could make compelling arguments as well, but their teams, the Bengals and Buccaneers, are struggling with records of 4-6.

Here are YSL News Sports’ NFL MVP rankings following Week 10:

5. Commanders QB Jayden Daniels, position steady

After losing to the Steelers 28-27, Daniels and the Commanders fell behind the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East standings.

Daniels completed 17 of 34 passes for 202 yards without a touchdown. However, he successfully led his team on two scoring drives featuring touchdowns from running back Austin Ekeler. Unfortunately, he couldn’t replicate his previous late-game heroics against Pittsburgh.

Despite this setback, Daniels remains a favorite for Offensive Rookie of the Year and is still in the MVP conversation; he just needs to showcase a stronger performance moving forward.

4. Bills QB Josh Allen, position steady

Josh Allen threw no touchdowns and recorded two interceptions, but his team still celebrated a win against the Indianapolis Colts, scoring 30-20. Allen also added a rushing touchdown, bringing his career total to 57, which ties him with O.J. Simpson for second in team history.

More importantly, the Bills are leading the AFC East with an impressive 8-2 record, having won five consecutive games despite significant injuries to key players like Keon Coleman, Amari Cooper, and Dalton Kincaid.

Allen’s MVP candidacy could see a substantial change next week when the Bills take on the Kansas City Chiefs.

3. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, position steady

Mahomes managed to throw just one touchdown in a tight 16-14 win over the Denver Broncos.

This game required Mahomes to count on a strong defensive effort, especially when linebacker Leo Chenal blocked what could have been a last-second winning field goal by Denver.

Mahomes remains in the MVP race but needs to shine when he faces Allen and the Bills in Buffalo next week to enhance his argument.

2. Lions QB Jared Goff, position steady

Despite throwing five interceptions, Goff has held onto the second spot in MVP rankings as he led four scoring drives to achieve a remarkable comeback after trailing by 16 points against the Texans.

He threw two touchdown passes and set up kicker Jake Bates for a crucial 52-yard field goal, leading the Lions to a 26-23 victory on “Sunday Night Football.”

Goff and the top-tier Lions now have an 8-1 record, as they continue to remain strong contenders. Their upcoming schedule seems favorable with matches against the Jaguars, Colts, and Bears.

1. Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, position steady

Jackson remained unfazed even when Burrow connected with Chase for a 70-yard touchdown pass.

Both Jackson and Burrow threw four touchdowns, but the Ravens secured a narrow 35-34 victory after the Bengals’ last-minute two-point conversion attempt failed.

Jackson rallied Baltimore from a 21-7 deficit, directing four scoring drives, which included three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. He is currently leading the MVP race, keeping the Ravens at 7-3, hot on the heels of the Steelers for the AFC North title.

Next week, as the Ravens face the Steelers, Jackson has an opportunity to further increase his chances of earning his third MVP award.
