The initiative by Spirit Halloween to expand into the Christmas season is officially in motion.

In October, the popular retail chain announced their plans for “Spirit Christmas,” aiming to launch 10 stores across the Northeast. However, by Tuesday evening, only eight Spirit Christmas locations were visible online.

At these Spirit Christmas stores, the traditional spooky decorations and costumes typically offered will be replaced with stocking stuffers, candies, and opportunities for photos with Santa Claus in four different states.

“Explore a variety of stocking stuffers, festive clothing, fun gifts, distinctive decorations, and all the essential items to create a memorable Christmas,” Spirit Christmas promotes on its official website.

Spirit Halloween stores have become a familiar sight as the Halloween season approaches, and this new holiday endeavor may generate a similar buzz. The original Spirit Halloween opened as a temporary store in a Bay Area mall over four decades ago.

Spirit Halloween, under the ownership of Spencer Gifts, did not promptly reply to YSL News’s inquiry on Tuesday.

When will Spirit Christmas stores begin operations?

Out of the eight Spirit Christmas locations listed, six are now officially open for the holiday season. The two locations that are not yet open are situated in Bohemia, New York, and Marlton, New Jersey.

These stores are expected to open later in November, as confirmed by the Spirit Christmas website.

Where can you find Spirit Christmas stores?

The Spirit Christmas stores have taken over vacant retail spaces in malls or shopping centers throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Jersey – some of which previously housed Spirit Halloween stores. All Spirit Christmas locations will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET.
