Engineers Revolutionize CO2 Conversion: Turning Emissions into Valuable Resources

A new electrode design developed at MIT boosts the efficiency of electrochemical reactions that turn carbon dioxide into ethylene and other products. As the world struggles to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, researchers are seeking practical, economical ways to capture carbon dioxide and convert it into useful products, such as transportation fuels, chemical feedstocks, or even

Melania Trump turns down White House invitation. No meeting with Jill Biden

Here’s the scoop: Former and future First Lady Melania Trump has declined the invitation.

After Donald Trump’s decisive win against Vice President Kamala Harris last week, the Bidens reached out to invite the Trumps to the White House.

While Donald Trump accepted President Joe Biden’s invitation and was scheduled to meet at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Melania did not reveal her plans until just hours before this meeting.

For Melania, it’s a firm no.

“Her husband’s return to the Oval Office to begin the transition is promising, and she wishes him every success,” read a statement from Melania Trump’s office on X.

“Former First Lady Mrs. Trump will not be attending today’s White House meeting,” the statement confirmed.

The statement also took aim at the media, criticizing them for using “unnamed sources” to spread “false, misleading, and inaccurate information.”

“Be careful about your news sources,” it further advised.

Traditionally, it’s customary for the first lady to host a tea with her successor. In 2016, Michelle Obama welcomed Melania Trump for a “tea and tour” in the Yellow Oval Room of the White House.

The Trumps did not host the Bidens when Joe Biden took office in 2020, nor did they attend Biden’s inauguration following the January 6 Capitol incident and Trump’s unsubstantiated claims regarding the election results.
