Pirates make a big trade offer for a rare Paul Skenes baseball card
This week, Topps, a trading card manufacturer, unveiled a new baseball card featuring Paul Skenes, a rookie pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The lucky few who acquire this card may be able to trade it for an amazing package of rewards offered by the Pirates.
Even though the trade deadline is far off, the Pirates are eager to make a deal so they can showcase the card for fans at PNC Park.
Among the rewards the Pirates are presenting are: 30 years of seats behind home plate at PNC Park, an exclusive meet-and-greet session with Skenes, two signed jerseys from Skenes, and even the opportunity to organize a softball game at the ballpark.
Adding to the excitement, Skenes’ girlfriend, LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne, mentioned that the card’s holder would also get the chance to enjoy a suite with her.
In this season, Skenes, who is a finalist for both the National League Rookie of the Year and the Cy Young Award, finished with a record of 11 wins and 3 losses, an ERA of 1.96, and 170 strikeouts.
