Alec Baldwin Channels Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in Hilarious ‘SNL’ Roast of Trump’s Cabinet Selections

Alec Baldwin portrays Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as ‘SNL’ parodies Trump’s Cabinet selections

With the announcement of new Trump Cabinet members, “Saturday Night Live” has rolled out fresh impressions.

The latest cold open on NBC’s show satirized President-elect Donald Trump’s recent Cabinet choices, featuring Alec Baldwin’s first portrayal of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and cast member Sarah Sherman as former U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz.

The sketch depicted President Biden (Dana Carvey) meeting with Trump in the Oval Office to discuss the transition. “Instead of my usual rude and wild behavior, I’m going for quiet and calm, which is actually far more frightening,” said James Austin Johnson’s Trump.

As reporters were escorted out of the room, “SNL” humorously suggested that both Trump and Biden realized they shared a mutual disdain for the White House. Trump remarked he was selecting “some of the most vibrant, unconventional, animal-loving, sexually scandalous, medically unhinged individuals” for his Cabinet.

“We’ve got Elon (Musk) and Matt Gaetz. That’s a showdown like ‘Alien vs. Predator.’ And there’s Kristi Noem and RFK Jr. They’re taking down the dogs and bears! Plus, Melania is going to be working from home due to her divorce,” Baldwin’s Kennedy quipped.

Sarah Sherman appeared next as Gaetz, whom Trump has unexpectedly tapped for attorney general amidst allegations of sexual misconduct. This parody portrayed Gaetz with the lascivious mannerisms of Quagmire from “Family Guy,” greeting Trump with a “giggity giggity.”

“Naturally, I had to step down from Congress because the confirmation process happens to coincide with the busiest part of my year: girls volleyball season,” Sherman’s Gaetz said, drawing laughs and groans from the audience.

Baldwin soon took the stage to present his take on Kennedy, who was nominated as Trump’s secretary of Health and Human Services. This appearance marked Baldwin’s latest return to “SNL” after portraying Fox News anchor Bret Baier in an October sketch. He is known for having previously played Trump on the show, a role for which he earned an Emmy.

“Americans need guidance on health, someone like myself: a 70-year-old man with a movie star’s charm and a worm in my brain,” Baldwin’s Kennedy stated. He later stated, “I am deeply committed to women’s rights—especially the right to choose polio for their children.”

“Alright, I’ve got to dash. There’s a dead dolphin in my car that I might slice in half and leave in Central Park,” Baldwin’s Kennedy remarked as he exited, referencing an incident from 2014 when the real Kennedy admitted to dumping a dead bear in the park.

Charli XCX performs ‘Hot to Go’ parody in sequel to viral ‘Domingo’ sketch

Charli XCX took on dual roles as both host and musical guest for this episode, which also included a follow-up to the viral “Domingo” sketch featuring Ariana Grande from last month.

The sketch revolved around a group of women singing a parody song that increasingly suggests their friend has been unfaithful to her husband with a guy named Domingo.

This time, the song was a spoof of Chappell Roan’s “Hot to Go,” performed by the women at a baby shower to describe taking their friend Kelsey (Chloe Fineman) on a “babymoon” trip.

“D-O-M-I-N-G-O, Kelsey’s texting Domingo!” the lyrics went. “Thought she forgot this dude. She’s sending him her pregnant nudes.”

The original sketch humorously imitated Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso,” which gained popularity on TikTok last month. Carpenter herself responded via Instagram with “Very nice and on pitch.”

During her opening monologue, Charli XCX introduced herself as the artist behind the popular album “Brat,” which inspired a wave of “Brat summer” memes this year.

“For those who recognize me, you might know me from my album ‘Brat.’ But if you don’t, there’s nothing wrong with being straight.” she joked to the audience.

“SNL” is set to return on Dec. 7 with host Paul Mescal and musical guest Shaboozey.
