Survivor Season 47: Unraveling Bonds and Identities in Episode 10 – A Shocking Elimination

‘Survivor’ Season 47: Relationships and identity take center stage in Episode 10. Who got voted out?

In line with other captivating episodes from the latest season of “Survivor,” Episode 10 of Season 47 offered an intriguing and complex look at the social dynamics involved in the pursuit of a $1 million prize.

Following a reward challenge, the victors—Sam Phalen, Rachel LaMont, and Kyle Ostwald—talked about potentially backstabbing one of Ostwald’s own tribe members before he had the chance to act against them, thus placing Phalen and LaMont, who had previously felt marginalized within the group, back in a position of influence.

The enduring reality competition show “Survivor,” which debuted on CBS in 2000, features contestants stranded on an island, surviving on limited resources while competing in challenges and forming strategic alliances to eliminate fellow players. The last remaining contestant is crowned “sole survivor” and wins the grand prize of $1 million.

Now, let’s find out who got eliminated in this episode.

Who got eliminated in ‘Survivor’ Season 47, Episode 10?

During the reward celebration at the “Survivor” sanctuary, Phalen, LaMont, and Ostwald mulled over the idea of voting out Gabe Ortis, although LaMont later indicated that she preferred to target Mushaluk, viewing her as a more significant threat.

The strategy began to unfold as Ostwald clinched his fourth immunity challenge of the season. To make things even more engaging before the challenge, host Jeff Probst invited four contestants to sit out in exchange for a bag of rice for the camp.

When the remaining contestants spoke with Probst, they all opted to offer their shot in the dark (a gamble for immunity) in return for the rice, which he agreed to.

After Ostwald’s triumph, a majority of the players, including Caroline Vidmar, set up a plan to covertly vote for Ortis. They instructed him and his close ally Sue Smey to back Mushaluk, who was convinced she would be the next to leave.

The effort to eliminate Ortis succeeded; he garnered a majority of the votes, making him the third contestant to join the jury, tasked with choosing the season’s winner.

Who got voted out last week on ‘Survivor’?

In the prior week, the contestants paired off to tackle a three-part immunity challenge, which culminated in a balancing act on precarious, small footholds above the ground.

The first four contestants eliminated—Caroline Vidmar, Rachel LaMont, Andy Rueda, and Sam Phalen—lost their votes and had to compete in a unique “journey” to reclaim them. Gabe Ortis emerged victorious in that challenge and gained individual immunity.

During the journey, Vidmar, LaMont, Rueda, and Phalen constructed a house of cards, and the first player to knock it over would forfeit their vote. Unfortunately for her team, that player was Vidmar, which proved to be a setback for those relying on her to execute a planned blindside.

Taking advantage of the situation, Mushaluk organized the remaining players to perform a blindside against Solomon “Sol” Yi. After some initial confusion both at camp and during tribal council, most players ended up voting against Yi, a 43-year-old medical device salesman from Norwalk, Connecticut.
