The Final Whistle: ‘Around the Horn’ to Wrap Up in 2025

ESPN’s ‘Around the Horn’ set to end in 2025

The ESPN talk show “Around the Horn” will conclude next summer, marking the end of its more than 20-year presence on weekday afternoons.

According to reports from The Athletic and the New York Post, the show, hosted by Tony Reali and featuring various sports journalists and personalities, will wrap up in mid-2025. An ESPN representative confirmed these reports to YSL News Sports on Thursday.

“Around the Horn,” paired with “Pardon the Interruption,” both overseen by ESPN’s Eric Rydholm, has become a fixture for afternoon sports fans, giving increased visibility to regular contributors like Woody Paige, Mina Kimes, Jackie MacMullan, Tim Cowlishaw, J.A. Adande, and others.

The program originally launched in 2002 with Max Kellerman as the host, and Tony Reali took over in 2004, continuing in that role since then.

An ESPN spokesperson mentioned that while no official statement will be made, the show’s long tenure will be honored before it concludes.
