Jameis Winston Ignites Excitement with Passionate Pregame Speech Ahead of Thursday Night Football

Jameis Winston Delivers Motivational Speech Before Thursday Night Football

When Jameis Winston talks, people pay attention.

This was certainly true before “Thursday Night Football,” as the Browns’ quarterback shared some inspirational words prior to their matchup against the Steelers. The NFL on Prime crew enjoyed an energetic locker room speech along with a memorable pregame interview with sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung.

Sideline interviews often lack excitement, but Winston has a knack for injecting his personal touch. Here are some of his standout quotes.

Jameis Winston’s Pregame Address

Winston seems to have been a speechwriter in a past life, or perhaps he is considering a future in public speaking. Earlier in the season, he gained attention for quoting rapper Eminem after a victory over the Ravens, marking his first win since 2022.

For his next act, he delivered a two-for-one motivational moment on Thursday night. As he stood in the tunnel, Winston emphasized to his teammates that it’s not about the audience or the cameras; it’s about their personal efforts.

The unique quotes continued during his chat with Hartung. When discussing his earlier comment that a quarterback doesn’t truly become a Browns’ player until they beat the Steelers, Winston answered in his signature style.

“The horse is preparing for battle, but victory comes from the Lord,” Winston said before the game. “So I’m relying on the Lord.”

But he didn’t stop there. Clearly excited at the prospect of playing in snowy conditions, the Browns’ quarterback expressed gratitude to a higher power once again.

“I am immensely grateful that the Lord has allowed me to experience some snow, to play in genuine football weather in Cleveland, Ohio at Huntington Bank Field today to give Him glory,” Winston added. “It’s a wonderful day.”

Depending on one’s definition of “wonderful,” Winston was right. The snow blanketing Cleveland created a captivating backdrop for this NFL season.
