Just two weeks before the early national signing day for college football, significant changes are taking place.

He is rated as a five-star recruit in 247 Sports’ Composite rankings and holds the No. 1 position overall in the ON3 and ESPN evaluations. Underwood is the first five-star quarterback recruit for Michigan under head coach Sherrone Moore and the first since J.J. McCarthy in the 2021 class.

Underwood took to social media to announce his commitment to the Wolverines with the tagline “Hometown. Hero.”
