Ashton Jeanty Injury Update: Boise State RB Exits Wyoming Game Temporarily Due to Injury Concern
The No. 13 ranked Boise State football team is facing challenges against a struggling Wyoming team, which has only two wins this season.
However, the Broncos’ concerns grew when star running back Ashton Jeanty left the game during the third quarter due to a suspected injury. He sat out for a few series following what looked like a lower leg issue.
Prior to this game, Jeanty had 256 carries totaling 1,893 yards and scored 26 rushing touchdowns in just 10 games. Heading into the match against Wyoming, he was just 735 yards short of breaking the record previously held by Sanders and ranked second in Heisman Trophy odds, only behind Colorado’s Travis Hunter.
Here’s the latest information on Jeanty’s injury:

With about eight minutes remaining in the third quarter and the score tied at 10-10, Jeanty appeared to be hurt and was taken to the medical tent. He seemed poised to return, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, but he missed another series afterward.
After sitting out for two series, Jeanty came back in during the fourth quarter. He made significant contributions with runs of 15, 15, and 20 yards, helping set up a touchdown that put the Broncos ahead. Backup running back Jambres Dubar scored the decisive touchdown after Jeanty accounted for 53 of the 75 yards on that particular drive.
Jeanty, who is in contention for the Heisman Trophy, achieved 17 carries for 169 yards, including a notable 61-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
