American Airlines, Frontier planes collide at Boston’s Logan Airport

The incident involved two flights, with hundreds onboard, but fortunately no injuries reported

On Monday, two aircraft made contact with each other on the ground at Boston Logan International Airport.

At Terminal E, an American Airlines flight brushed against the wingtip of a Frontier Airlines jet. A representative from Frontier indicated that this flight was heading to Dallas.

“The plane had 200 passengers on board at the time, and thankfully, no injuries were reported among those onboard the Frontier flight,” a statement from Frontier Airlines confirmed.

The American Airlines flight involved was arriving in Boston from London’s Heathrow Airport, according to YSL News.

“While parking at Boston (BOS), American Airlines flight 109 made contact with a nearby stationary aircraft. There were no injuries, and passengers exited the plane shortly after,” stated American Airlines. “The plane has been taken out of service for inspection by our maintenance team. We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience this may have caused.”

Massport, the organization that operates Boston Logan, confirmed to YSL News that no injuries occurred.

“This was a minor incident and took place at a slow speed,” Massport mentioned.
