The stock markets in the United States will close early on Friday, November 29, following a full closure on Thursday, November 28, for Thanksgiving.
Both the Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange will not operate on Thanksgiving and will reopen on November 29 at reduced hours, shutting down early at 1 p.m. ET. The bond market will also be closed on Thursday, with plans to close early at 2 p.m. ET on Friday, as reported by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.
Following the Thanksgiving break and early closure on Black Friday, the New York Stock Exchange will conduct standard operations until late December. The next full-day closure is scheduled for Wednesday, December 25, in observance of Christmas, with an early closing also set for Christmas Eve.

The U.S. stock markets will be closed on these specific dates in 2024:
