Little Big Town’s Holiday Special: Orville Peck and Kate Hudson Perform Festive Classics
Little Big Town is celebrating a distinctly Country Christmas.
The group brought festive joy from Nashville on Monday night with their television special, “Little Big Town’s Christmas at the Opry.”
Famous for tracks like “Girl Crush” and “Boondocks,” this country music powerhouse hosted a night filled with holiday performances at the legendary venue, following their debut Christmas album released in October.
“It’s a tremendous honor for us, and we are excited to share this special evening with our viewers and fans nationwide,” the band expressed in a press announcement prior to the show.
“We’ve invited some of our closest friends to perform with us on stage, and we cannot wait for everyone to feel the holiday spirit at such a remarkable venue.”

Little Big Town Unveils Their Christmas Album
The special coincided with Little Big Town’s first foray into holiday music.
In October, they launched “The Christmas Record,” an album featuring 11 tracks comprised of both classic covers and original pieces.
“We’ve been performing Christmas music for a long time,” shared Karen Fairchild, one of the band members, in a recent Rolling Stone interview. “It’s something we have desired to do for almost 25 years, but our focus on studio projects, touring schedules, and family obligations came first.”
Rising Trend of Holiday Specials
Little Big Town’s festive show is now part of an expanding trend of musician-led holiday specials.
What was once viewed as a rather formal tradition, typically reserved for family-friendly artists, has seen a transformation. Now, many artists are getting involved. Sabrina Carpenter’s “A Nonsense Christmas” features various pop, rap, and country entertainers, while NBC’s “Christmas at Graceland” brought together stars like Lana Del Rey, Post Malone, and Cher in celebration of the legendary Elvis Presley.
