Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones apprehended after hotel bar brawl post Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul bout
Former NFL cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones was taken into custody in Arlington, Texas, following a disturbance at a hotel bar after the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight at AT&T Stadium.
The Arlington Police Department informed YSL News Sports that Jones was arrested early Saturday morning. He faces charges for assaulting a police officer, being publicly intoxicated, and resisting arrest after officers responded to reports of a bar fight at the Live By Loews Arlington Hotel. When officers arrived, the fight had already been broken up, but police noted that Jones kept approaching and yelling at the individuals involved.
“The officer positioned herself between the parties and warned Mr. Jones that if he engaged in fighting again, he would be arrested,” according to the police report. “Shortly thereafter, another altercation occurred in the bar area involving Mr. Jones. While both the officer and hotel security attempted to separate the parties, Mr. Jones struck the officer on her arm. She then notified Mr. Jones that he was being arrested for Assault on a Peace Officer.”
Jones attempted to walk away from the officer as she tried to handcuff him, but he was ultimately arrested without further complications after additional officers arrived. He is currently held at the Arlington City Jail.
The Tyson vs. Paul bout took place at the home stadium of the Dallas Cowboys, where Jones played in 2008. During his 13-year NFL career, he also played for the Tennessee Titans (2005–2007), Cincinnati Bengals (2010–2017), and Denver Broncos (2018), achieving a total of 507 tackles, 17 interceptions, and 92 pass deflections.
