Engineers Revolutionize CO2 Conversion: Turning Emissions into Valuable Resources

A new electrode design developed at MIT boosts the efficiency of electrochemical reactions that turn carbon dioxide into ethylene and other products. As the world struggles to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, researchers are seeking practical, economical ways to capture carbon dioxide and convert it into useful products, such as transportation fuels, chemical feedstocks, or even

Alexandra Daddario Celebrates Her Postpartum Journey: ‘The Strength of Women’s Bodies is Incredible’

Alexandra Daddario shares first postpartum photo of baby: ‘Women’s bodies are amazing’

Alexandra Daddario is embracing motherhood and recently shared a lovely image of her newborn.

The star of “The White Lotus,” who is 38 years old, posted her first postpartum picture of her baby on Instagram on Wednesday.

In her post, Daddario wrote, “I portray a witch on screen and had my baby on Halloween, but nothing could prepare me for the incredible and sometimes frightful experience of postpartum. This is me, six days after welcoming my amazing little one. Women’s bodies are remarkable, and I’ve never been prouder of mine.”

She added, “Sending love to all the new moms out there discovering their new abilities.”

Daddario, known for her role in “Baywatch,” created a buzz on Halloween when she shared a photo of her newborn covered in candy, jokingly captioning it, “I thought this was a weird bowl of candy.”

In July, she revealed in a Vogue interview that she and her husband, producer Andrew Form, were expecting. The couple had kept the news private for six months.

At that time, Daddario explained that maintaining secrecy about her pregnancy was challenging. This became particularly evident when she had a moment of sickness while driving in Brooklyn.

She remarked, “People probably just thought I was drunk,” reflecting on that embarrassing incident.

Daddario also shared her desire for more openness, saying, “I want to be able to be myself in public without worrying about being photographed while I just enjoy a bagel from the corner store.” Before announcing her pregnancy, she took active steps to keep it under wraps.

Daddario has also spoken about a previous pregnancy, which sadly ended in a loss.

She mentioned, “It’s a complex and emotional topic; I don’t want to go into too much detail. Those experiences and traumas are tough to articulate unless you’ve lived them. I resonate deeply with women who’ve experienced similar situations.”

When she learned she was expecting again, Daddario shared that the realization was hard for her to accept.

She admitted, “I felt overwhelmed with my commitments. Part of me thought, ‘This is the worst news ever,’ while another part saw it as a welcome diversion. I didn’t want to sit at home worrying about every little thing I did.”
